In 1992, Hans and Deborah Abbey began a small name tag business from the spare room of their home on Poly Drive in Billings. Using a hot stamp press and a first-generation computerized engraver we banged out dozens of name tags every day. From that small spare room the company expanded to become the very first kiosk store in Rimrock Mall. It was a small, but efficient operation that began simply engraving specialty automotive license plate frames featuring your favorite phrase to a laser engraving artistic studio with one of a kind hand built, laser engraved cherry wood photo albums. Then in 2004 changes in the mall forced our little operation out and personal health issues placed us in a tail spin. We sold the engraving shop and headed off to corporate life.

In 2004, Hans Abbey accepted an Advertising Account Executive position with Bresnan Communications. A return to an earlier passion for marketing and advertising. Hans built a loyal group of clients that he created cable television advertising campaigns for. His career spanned a dozen years and four corporations taking him to the pinnacle of the cable advertising business and earning him a Peak Performers Award.

In April of 2016 Hans made the move to return back to his true passion the Promotional Products business. Combining his creative talents and unique promotional design abilities he is now ready to lead an inspired clientele into a new realm of promotional advertising. Promotional advertising is targeted, responsive and quantitative. A lone one dollar pen can stay with a client for several years creating return time and time again. Placing a promotional item in a mailer can increase the response rate nearly twofold.

True passion and creative desire leads our mission at Purple Snow Promotional. Next time you find yourself in a great Montana blizzard, look for the Purple Snow it will be the one that Stands Out From the Crowd.
